TotalEnergies AFCON 2025: winners prize money to reach $10m (€8.5m), up from $7m in 2023 and $5m in 2021

The winner of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 will receive $10m (€8.5m) in prize money, announced the Confédération Africaine de Football after its executive committee meeting held in Rabat (Morocco) on 20/12/2025, on the eve of the competition kick off.

This amount represents an increase of almost 43% compared to the sum paid by CAF to Ivory Coast ($7m), the winning team of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2023, and double that received by Senegal ($5m), the 2021 African champions.

The runner-up will earn $4m (€3.4m), while the two semi-finalists will each receive $2.5m (€2.1m).

The total prize money for the TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 now amounts to $35m (€29.9m), compared with the $32m (€27.3m) previously planned before the winner's prize money ($7m) was increased.
