Arsenal FC: a partnership with WhatsApp and Facebook (Meta) to increase fan engagement

Arsenal FC (Premier League) "will soon be partnering" with WhatsApp (instant messaging app) and Facebook (socia media), both owned by US group Meta, to create "ways for supporters to connect with our club and each other, wherever they are in the world," announced the club on 22/12/2025.

As part of the deal, Facebook will benefit from the status of "official social media" of the London's club, while WhatsApp will become its "official messaging partner." The club has 47 million followers on Facebook as of December 2025 (see below).

With this announcement, Arsenal has already welcomed ten new official partners since the start of the 2025-26 season, including Deel, an American pay management and HR solutions company, which became the club's "official HR platform" on 12/12/2025.
