Lega Serie A: relocation of the AC Milan-Como match to Perth (AUS) in February 2026 cancelled

The organisation of the AC Milan - Como 1907 match, part of Matchday 24 of the 2025-26 Serie A Enilive season, in Perth (Australia) on 08/02/2026 has been cancelled, announced the Lega Serie A and the Western Australian Government on 22/12/2025.

"Both parties came to the decision due to financial risks that could not be mitigated, onerous approval conditions, and last-minute complications beyond their control."

The relocation of this match outside Italy, "which secured the approval of all 20 Lega Serie A clubs, the FIGC and UEFA", had been suggested due to the unavailability of the San Siro, as the venue will be hosting the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games opening ceremony on 06/02/2026.

"However, the additional requirements imposed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to allow the match to proceed could not be met without exposing the Western Australian Government and Lega Serie A to significant financial risk," added both parties.
