Nottingham Forest FC (Premier League) has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of the City Ground (West Bridgford, near Nottingham, ENG), announced the club on 05/01/2026.

The NFFC, which owns the stadium inaugurated in 1898, plans to increase the stadium’s capacity from 30,332 to "more than 50,000" seats. If the application is approved by Rushcliffe Borough Council, the works will be financed by "a significant investment" made by the club's owner Evangelos Marinakis (GRE), also owner of Olympiacos FC (Super League Greece).

The club had already submitted an application to increase the stadium’s capacity to 35,000 seats in June 2025, which was approved by the local authorities.
