Italy: social dimension of football highlighted in the 10^th edition of the FIGC's "Integrated Report"

"In addition to being a highly significant industrial sector (generating nearly €7bn in direct revenue and contributing €12.4bn to Italy's GDP), the football ecosystem continues to demonstrate its commitment to human rights and environmental protection," according to the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio in its "Bilancio Integrato 2024", the 10^th edition of this report, published on 30/12/2025.

"Between 2016 and 2024, nearly one million students were involved in the macro-project "Valori in Rete" (which aims to promote sporting activity and to raise awareness of respect, fair play and inclusion among young people), promoted by the Federation's youth and school sector and by the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, and more than 50,000 training/education courses have been delivered by the FIGC on the topic of protection," explained the Federation, which is defending its "increasingly social -oriented approach."
