Tennis: record prize money of €63.6m for the Australian Open in 2026 (up 15.5% on 2025)

The prize money for the 2026 edition of the Australian Open Tennis Championships (Grand Slam), which will take place from 18/01 to 01/02/2026, has reached a record AU$111.5m (€63.6m), announced Tennis Australia on 05/01/2026.

At constant value, this prize money is up 15.5% (+ AU$15m) compared to 2025 (AU$96.5m), or 9.6% after conversion (€58m on the date of the 2025 men's final). The total prize money has increased by 95% compared to 2019 (AU$57.24m/€36m, up 76.7% after conversion).

"All singles and doubles players get a minimum of 10% increase," said the Australian Federation, which also provides travel allowances for players up by 67%.

The winners of the men's and women's singles will each take home a record AU$4.15m (€2.7m, up 18.5% on 2025), while the single runner-ups will receive AU$2.15m (€1.2m, up 38.9%).
