France: Paris La Défense Arena acquired by US group Live Nation Entertainment from Ovalto

Ovalto, a group founded by Jacky Lorenzetti (owner of Racing 92, which plays in Top 14), has announced the sale of Paris La Défense Arena (Nanterre, FRA) to Live Nation Entertainment, an American event production and promotion company, on 06/01/2026.

Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the French Competition Authority. Once the sale is complete, Live Nation "will launch a major upgrade programme, once the deal completes, that will enable the arena to host significantly more productions year-round; attracting leading French and international artists and reinforcing Paris’ position as a global live entertainment destination," said Live Nation France.

Inaugurated in 2017 by the Rolling Stones, the venue has hosted international artists such as Paul McCartney, Pink, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Iron Maiden, Hans Zimmer, Dua Lipa and The Who. The venue also has a sports programme, with a resident club (Racing 92, which will play some of its home matches at the Stade Yves-du-Manoir from the 2027-28 season) and hosts competitions such as the Rolex Paris Masters (ATP…
