FIFA: a partnership with TikTok (social network) to create content around the 2026 World Cup

FIFA has entered into a partnership with the social network TikTok, which has become its "preferred platform" for the 2026 World Cup, announced the international body on 08/01/2026.

As part of this partnership, which runs until the end of 2026, TikTok will offer a "more comprehensive" coverage of the World Cup, including original content as well as a number of features for the competition's media partners: live-stream parts of matches, curated clips and special content produced by FIFA.

"Broadcasters will also be able to monetise their 2026 World Cup coverage through TikTok’s premium advertising solutions. Finally, TikTok will implement anti-piracy policies that support and protect FIFA’s intellectual property," said FIFA.

"The preferred platform partnership will be anchored by TikTok’s immersive FIFA World Cup 2026 hub, a bustling nexus powered by TikTok GamePlan that will enable fans to discover engaging content that brings the 48-team tournament to life alongside match ticket and viewing information, as well as participation incentives like custom stickers, filters and gamification…
