2025-26 Ligue 1 McDonald's: attendance of 4.21 million spectators at mid-season, a record at 18 clubs

4.21 million spectators attended the 153 matches of the first 17 matchdays of the 2025-26 Ligue 1 McDonald's season, "an increase of 8,000 spectators compared with mid-season 2024-25 and a record since the top flight was reduced from 20 to 18 participants" (in 2023-24), announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 13/01/2026.

Among the main figures for attendance at Ligue 1 stadiums halfway through the 2025-26 season:
• a record average attendance of 27,505 spectators per match, up 0.2% on 2024-25 ;
• five clubs (Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, LOSC Lille and RC Lens) exceeded the 35,000 spectators per match;
• OM recorded the highest attendance for a single match, with 66,279 spectators at the Orange Vélodrome against Stade Brestois on 08/11/2025;
• 57 matches (37%) were sold out;
• in five seasons, average attendance has jumped from 21,890 to 27,505;
• the fill rate have reached an all-time high of 88%, up 1.6 points with mid-season last year;
• eight clubs have exceeded the 90% fill rate mark."
