Dariusz Marzec has been elected president of Ekstraklasa SA, the company which manages the Polish Professional Football League, on 22/05/2015. Dariusz Marzec was previously the head of marketing and sales of the Polish club Legia Warsaw in the Ekstraklasa (Polish first division), which he joined in October 2014.

Dariusz Marzec will replace Boglusaw Biszof, who is finishing his three-year term, from 01/07/2015. Boglusaw Biszof will remain a vice-president of the PZPN (Polish federation), a position he has held since 2012, until 2016. Marcin Animucki will retain his role as vice-president of Ekstraklasa SA.

  • "The function of the president of the Ekstraklasa is for me a great professional challenge, because it allows me to combine my passion for sport and for football with fifteen years of experience in business, sales and marketing, and management.
  • My half-year of experience, gained in leading a Polish soccer club, was also very useful, as I had the opportunity to learn in practicing the key challenges and needs of Polish clubs," stated Dariusz Marzec.
