1. FC Köln: expanded duties for Philipp Türoff, named spokesperson for the management board

Philipp Türoff, a member of 1. FC Köln’s management board in charge of finance and administration, has been appointed spokesperson for the management board, announced the club on 22/01/2026.

Philipp Türoff's duties have been expanded, as he will also take over responsibility for the club's commercial department under a contract extended until 2029.

At the same time, sporting director Thomas Kessler has been promoted to sporting managing director and joins the management board until 2028. He is responsible for all football-related activities at the club, including the men’s team, the women’s team, youth teams, the academy, recruitment and the medical department.

The management board is composed of three members, with Philipp Liesenfeld completing the executive body as managing director in charge of marketing and sales, a position he has held since 21/05/2025, with a contract running until 2028.
