Spain: a Liga-Mediapro joint venture to maximise international commercial revenue

The search for business partners for "La Liga World 2015," a tournament to promote Spanish professional football abroad, which starts in Washington (USA) on 27/05/2015, is among the objectives of Spanish Soccer International Marketing, a joint venture established on 13/11/2014 by La Liga and the Spanish Mediapro group communication.

The company, whose CEO is Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, and whose general secretary is Jaume Roures, founder and president of Mediapro (which manages the advertising space in many Spanish stadiums), aims to maximise the commercial revenue of the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante internationally, particularly in Asia.

Its corporate purpose is "the provision, under the relevant contractual model, of services in support of the activities of its partners," says the Spanish business registry. Specifically, Spanish Soccer International Marketing will market the "Liga" brand internationally and is looking for commercial partners for the competitions organised by the Spanish League.
