ITV has extended its partnership with Six Nations Rugby to acquire the broadcasting rights to Six Nations Rugby's international rugby competitions in the United Kingdom until 2029, announced the private free-TV group on 26/01/2026.

The agreement includes the Nations Championship (a new international rugby competition involving 12 national teams, held every two years) for its first two editions in 2026 and 2028, as well as matches from the Summer Nations Series in 2027 and the Quilter Nations Series in 2029.

ITV also holds, alongside the BBC group, the broadcasting rights to the Guinness Six Nations. The two groups have extended these rights for the 2026-2029 cycle at an estimated annual cost of £63m (€74.9m), totalling £252m (€299m), according to The Guardian.
