Scottish FA: chief football officer Andy Gould to join FIFA as high performance specialist

Andy Gould, chief football officer at the Scottish FA since January 2021, will leave the association to join FIFA as a high performance specialist, announced the Scottish body on 26/01/2026.

Andy Gould has been with the Scottish FA since 1995, when he joined as football development officer in Stirling.

"I’ve had the privilege to work in numerous development roles within Scottish football since 1995, and have enjoyed the opportunity to make a difference to the game I love. My passion has always been to help the game grow and for people to thrive and succeed through football. I leave with hope and optimism of improved opportunities to play and increased talent coming through to support national team success," said Andy Gould, as Scotland will participate in its first World Cup since 1998 in 2026.
