Paris Saint-Germain: opening of an academy in Japan across five sites throughout the country

Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 McDonald's) will open a PSG Academy in Japan across five sites in five cities, announced the club on 30/01/2026.

The initiative, developed in partnership with Maruhei Co., Ltd (retail, healthcare), will be rolled out from April 2026 in four cities (Tokyo, Saitama, Ibaraki and Shizuoka), before a fifth site opens in Chiba in September 2026.

The project will welcome 300 girls and boys aged 4 to 15 during its initial phase, before reaching 1,000 players at the end of a three-year development plan. At the end of its deployment, the PSG academy in Japan will offer three sections: "Pre-school" for children aged 4 to 6, "Juniors" for players aged 6 to 12, and "Elites" from the age of 12.

Paris Saint-Germain already has a local presence through three retail stores and a supporters' club, and has organised two summer tours in the country, in 2022 and 2023.
