Champions League: Barcelona bids to host the 2028-29 final at Spotify Camp Nou

FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports), the Barcelona City Council and the Government of Catalonia have announced their intention to take part in UEFA’s bidding process to host the 2028-29 Champions League final at Spotify Camp Nou (Barcelona, ESP), on 03/02/2026.

As communicated by UEFA, as of 31/10/2025 two venues had submitted a declaration of interest to host the final: Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona and Wembley Stadium in London (England). The deadline for the submission of full bid dossiers is set for 10/06/2026, while UEFA’s executive committee is expected to appoint the host stadiums for the 2027-28 and 2028-29 European club competition finals in September 2026.

FC Barcelona played the entirety of the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc (Barcelona), due to renovation and expansion works at Spotify Camp Nou (capacity increased from 99,354 to 105,000 seats), before returning to the stadium on 22/11/2025 with a limited capacity of 25,991 seats.
