Kings League: a $63m funding round to support expansion in the United States

The Kings League has announced a $63m (€53m) funding round led by US investment firm Alignment Growth, "with the support of existing shareholders, including Left Lane, Kosmos, Cassius, Antifund and Bolt Ventures," said the 7-a-side football competition on 03/02/2026.

"This investment will support the next phase of growth for the Kings League, aiming to expand the Kings League (men) and Queens League (women) platforms globally, including a launch in the United States. This follows the launch in 2025 of new regional leagues in Brazil, France, Germany, Italy and the MENA region, as well as a new World Cup tournament for national teams," added the Kings League.

Founded by the Kosmos investment fund, created by former Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué, the Kings League was launched in Spain at the beginning of 2023. The competition, which also features a women’s format, has since expanded into several territories, including France through local leagues.
