2025-26 Serie A/Matchday 23: average attendance of just 23,600 spectators due to San Siro unavailability

Matchday 23 of the 2025-26 Serie A Enilive season drew an average of 23,600 spectators per game, from Friday 30/01 to Tuesday 03/02/2026. The average stadium fill rate was 81.4%.

This is the lowest average attendance recorded for the Italian top flight since News Tank began tracking attendance data. This situation is explained by the absence of any match held at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (75,725 capacity), Italy’s largest stadium, which has been requisitioned as part of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, notably to host the opening ceremony on Friday 06/02/2026.

SSC Napoli - ACF Fiorentina (2-1), on Saturday 31/01 (kick-off at 18:00 CET), was the match that posted the highest attendance, with around 45,000 spectators at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona (54,726 capacity).

The Italian top flight has an average of 30,666 spectators per game and an average stadium fill rate of 84.1% after 23 matchdays in 2025-26.
