Turkey: Dursun Aydin Özbek elected president of Galatasaray SK until 2018

The Turk Dursun Aydin Özbek was elected president of Galatasaray SK at an extraordinary general meeting of the club, which have won the Spor Toto Süper Lig in 2014-15, in Istanbul (TUR), on Saturday 23/05/2015. The election, which took place inside the Galatasaray High School and was attended by News Tank, was open to the members of the club.

Of the 3,858 votes cast, Dursun Aydin Özbek won 2,800, or 72.5% of the vote. He becomes the 36^th president of Galatasaray, and his three-year term runs until 2018. Dursun Aydin Özbek began his career in the automotive industry before investing in hospitality and tourism in 1988. He has been a vice-president of Galatasaray SK since October 2014.
