Investment funds: Otro Capital’s first sports fund oversubscribed at $1.2bn

Otro Capital closed its first sports-dedicated fund, Otro Capital Fund I, with $1.2bn (€1.01bn) in committed capital, announced the US investment fund on 03/02/2026.

The fundraising substantially exceeded the initial target of $500m (€423m) for the New York-based firm, founded in 2023. Investors include "a global group of leading pension plans, retirement systems, wealth platforms, endowments, foundations, family offices and strategic investors".

Otro Capital invests "exclusively in sports properties and adjacent businesses, combining deep operational expertise with strategic growth capital". Fund I has already been deployed across several investments, including Formula 1 team Alpine Racing (December 2023), UK-based sports data, sales and marketing agency Two Circles (July 2024) and youth sports event and marketing company FlexWork Sports (August 2025).
