beIN SPORTS France: acquisition of full broadcasting rights to the 2026 and 2030 World Cups

beIN SPORTS France has acquired the full broadcasting rights to the 2026 World Cup and the 2030 World Cup, has learned News Tank.

The pay-TV group, which has been broadcasting the World Cup since its arrival on the French market in 2012, faced competition from the Ligue 1+ platform. LFP Media, owner of the streaming service, had submitted a bid of around €20m to obtain the full media rights for the 2026 World Cup, according to L'Equipe, which added that the LFP subsidiary had even concluded an agreement with FIFA for these rights on 28/01/2026.
