FIFA: €308m in net profit and €5.2bn in turnover in 2011-2014

FIFA has posted a net profit of $338m (€308m) over the 2011-2014 period with a turnover of $5.7bn (€5.2bn), said Issa Hayatou, the chairman of the finance committee of FIFA, during the congress of the international federation, in Zurich on 29/05/2015.

"Beyond providing the sporting highlight of the 2011-2014 tournament cycle, the FIFA World Cup (in Brazil) ensured the cycle was also successful from the financial perspective, increasing our equity reserves to $1.523bn," said Issa Hayatou, who is also the first vice-president of FIFA and the president of CAF.

The 2014 World Cup in Brazil generated $4.82bn (€4.47bn on 20/03/2015) for FIFA, according to the four-year financial report released by the international iederation on 20/03/2015. The organisational costs came to amounted to $2.22bn (€2.05bn) for FIFA.
