Pro League: sharp reduction in cumulative losses (from €160m to €70m) for D1 and D2 clubs in 2024-25

Pro League clubs (Jupiler Pro League and Challenger Pro League) posted cumulative losses of €70m at the end of the 2024-25 financial year, down sharply on the 2023-24 (-€160m) and 2022-23 (-€188m) financial years, according to results published by the League and the RBFA on 12/02/2026.

"This change can be explained in particular by the strict financial rules imposed by the Pro League, additional income from European competitions and a positive transfer balance for the 2025-26 season, which amounts to €167m," said the Pro League, which has been implementing financial measures since 2022 in collaboration with the Belgian FA, notably as part of the Football First plan.

Of the 10 clubs with positive net results (see table below), Club Brugge has the highest (€18m). On the other hand, 18 clubs recorded a net loss, with the highest for Lommel SK (-€20m), owned by City Football Group.
