France/Le Mans FC: OutField (BRA) becomes majority shareholder with backing from European investors

The Brazilian investment fund OutField, a minority shareholder in Le Mans FC (Ligue 2 BKT) since August 2025, has become the club’s majority shareholder with the support of European investors, announced both parties on 19/02/2026.

The European investors are Belgian international Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid CF, LALIGA EA Sports), through his investment vehicle NxtPlay Capital, and Spain-based fund NinetyTwo X, which specialises in investment in sports intellectual property rights and entertainment.

"To support this new phase," Thierry Gomez, in post since 2016, remains shareholder, president and CEO of Le Mans FC and "will continue to manage the club on a daily basis". Aymeric Magne (former executive president of ESTAC Troyes), OutField’s representative in France, has acquired a stake in the club and becomes its "supervisor". Georgios Frangulis (CEO and founder of OakBerry Açai, a group specialised in fast food), already a shareholder, "will take charge of the Le Mans FC brand".
