Germany/women’s football: record €43m revenues for the 12 top-flight clubs in 2024-25, attendances down

The 12 Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga clubs generated record cumulative revenues of €43m in 2024-25 (an average of €3.6m per club), compared with €31m (€2.6m per club) in 2023-24, according to the 2024-25 report published by the German Football Association (Deutscher Fussball Bund, DFB) on 19/02/2026.

Attendances, however, declined compared with the record set the previous season. A total of 355,407 spectators attended matches in German stadiums (an average of 2,692 per match), compared with 379,653 in 2023-24 (2,876 per match). The clubs nevertheless recorded a new high in matchday revenue, with an average of €565,000 per club.

The highest attendance of the 2024-25 season was recorded at the RheinEnergieStadion in March 2025, where 35,711 spectators attended the match between 1. FC Köln and FC Bayern Munich. This figure was largely surpassed in 2025-26, when 57,762 fans were present at the Allianz Arena on 06/09/2025 (Matchday 1) for the Bayern Munich - Bayer 04 Leverkusen (2-0) fixture, setting a new record for the German women’s championship.
