Milano Cortina 2026: record audiences for the Olympic Games on Warner Bros. Discovery channels in Europe

Warner Bros. Discovery has recorded a 103% increase in total hours viewed for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games on its streaming platforms (HBO Max and discovery+) in Europe compared with the Beijing 2022 Games, announced the group on 23/02/2026.

The group, which owns Eurosport, had already said that the Milano Cortina Games were "the best Winter Olympics ever streamed" on its platforms on 11/02/2026, while the competition was still underway. The number of viewers on all the group's streaming platforms also increased by 234% during these Games compared with Beijing 2022.

Other data provided by WBD include:
• 4 billion views on Eurosport and TNT Sports social media (+580% compared to 2022);
• linear TV audiences up 3% compared to Beijing 2022;
• 47% increase in the number of hours watched on Eurosport in France compared to 2022 (+50% in Germany, +60% on TNT Sports in the UK).
