Formula 1: ESPN extends broadcasting rights in Latin America & the Caribbean (2026-2028)

The pay-TV group ESPN (The Walt Disney Company) has extended its exclusive full broadcasting rights to the Formula One World Championship in Latin America and the Caribbean (excluding Brazil and Mexico) for the 2026-2028 cycle (three seasons), announced Formula One Group on 24/02/2026.

"Formula 1 has seen strong growth across LATAM and in the Caribbean in recent years, as reflected globally with an ever-increasing interest in the sport. There are over 150 million fans in the region, a 5% increase on 2024, of which 45% are female and 43% are under 35. Across F1, F2, and F3, LATAM is strongly represented on track, with 15 drivers competing for countries in the region. The sport has also experienced a surge of interest in Argentina, driven by the rise of Franco Colapinto at Alpine. Argentina now boasts 17.2 million fans, making F1 the country’s most popular global sports league - surpassing both the NFL and NBA," said the body.
