Premier League: £325,000 and £300,000 fines for Chelsea & West Ham after "mass confrontation"

Chelsea FC and West Ham United FC have been fined respectively £325,000 and £300,000 by a Regulatory Commission of the FA after the mass confrontation at their 2025-26 Premier League fixture (Matchday 24) at Stamford Bridge (London) on Saturday 31/01/2026, announced the Football Association on 25/02/2026.

"It was alleged that Chelsea FC failed to ensure its players dit not behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 95^th minute. It was also alleged that West Ham failed to ensure its players dit not behave in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way at this time," said the association.

Both clubs were heard on 16/02 by the commission and subsequently admitted the charges against them.

"Each affiliated association, competition and club shall be responsible for ensuring that its directors, players, officials, employees, servants and representatives attending any match do not: behave in a way which is improper, offensive, violent, threatening, abusive, indecent, insulting or provocative", according the FA Rule E20.
