UEFA: record revenues of €28.6bn for European clubs in 2024 (up €1.8bn on 2023)

Clubs in Europe's top divisions posted record revenue of €28.6m in 2024, an increase of €1.8bn in one year (€26.8bn in 2023), and are expected to exceed €30bn in cumulative revenue in 2025, according to UEFA's "The European Club Finance and Investment Landscape" report, published on 26/02/2026.

The €28.6bn in revenue for clubs in 2024 was broken down as follows:
• commercial revenue: €9.7bn (34% of the total);
• TV rights: €8.5bn (29.7%);
• matchday: €4.4bn (15.4%);
• UEFA grants: €3.2bn (11.2%);
• other: €2.9bn (10.1%).

"Since 2015, European club football revenues have risen by more than €13 billion, driven by increased rewards from UEFA competitions, broadcast rights, commercial partnerships and gate receipts," said UEFA.

"Despite strong revenue growth, the report warns that rising operating and staffing costs continue to pressure club finances. Non player wages have increased by 42% since 2021, and operating costs are expected to make up 36% of total revenue in 2025.
