UEFA: sponsorship is the main revenue stream for clubs in 2024 (€9.7bn), ahead of TV rights

The commercial revenues of the clubs in the main European top flight leagues for the 2024 financial year (2024-25 season) amount to a cumulative €9.7bn, making them their main source of revenue (ahead of TV rights, at €8.5bn), as in 2023, according to UEFA in its annual report "The European Club Finance and Investment Landscape" published on 26/02/2026.

Of this €9.7bn, almost a quarter (24.5%, €2.372bn) was generated by Premier League sides (€119m on average per club, up 8%), followed by the other leagues in the European Top 5:
• €1.497bn for Bundesliga clubs (€83m per club, +3%);
• €1.218m for LALIGA EA Sports sides (€61m on average, +7%);
• €857m for Serie A Enilive teams (€43m on average, +6%);
• €750m for Ligue 1 McDonald's clubs (€42m on average, +14%).

17 of the 20 main European leagues (85%) saw an increase in commercial revenue in 2024 (including 12 with double-digit growth).
