Formula 1: Netflix signs deal with Apple to broadcast the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix in the US

Netflix has entered into a partnership with the American group Apple to broadcast the 2026 Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix (scheduled on 24/05) on its streaming platform in the US, announced the American company on 26/02/2026.

As part of this agreement, in return, Apple has secured the broadcasting rights to season 8 of the documentary series Drive To Survive for its Apple TV platform in the US. This series has been distributed worldwide and exclusively by Netflix since its first season in 2019.

Apple took over from ESPN as the exclusive broadcaster of the Formula 1 World Championship in the US for the 2026-2030 period. The agreement is worth an estimated $140m per year (€120m), or $700m in total (€600m), according to the American financial news outlet CNBC.
