Norwegian Football Federation: Lise Klaveness re-elected as president for a two-year term

Lise Klaveness, a former international footballer born on 19/04/1981, was re-elected as president of the Norwegian Football Federation (Norges Fotballforbunds, NFF) for a two-year term at the body's general assembly held at the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo (NOR) on 28/02/2026.

The former lawyer was first elected by acclamation on 06/03/2022. At 40, she became the first woman to head the Norwegian federation, which was then celebrating its 120^th anniversary. She succeeded Terje Svendsen, who had been president since 2016.

"Lise Klaveness has led the NFF through a period of positive results, both at amateur and elite levels. She is a prominent and undisputed figure at national level, but also internationally, in line with the expectations of Norwegian football's democratic bodies," said Jan Petter Hagen, chair of the NFF's electoral committee.

Lise Klaveness was elected to the UEFA executive committee on 03/04/2025.
