Switzerland: Peter Gilliéron, a member of the UEFA ExCo, is re-elected president of the association

Peter Gilliéron has been re-elected as the president of the ASF (Association Suisse de Football, the Swiss Football Association) for a term of two years at the annual meeting of delegates of the body, meeting in Berne (SUI), on 30/05/2015.

Peter Gilliéron, 62 years old, was the only candidate for the position. He begins his fourth term as head of the ASF, which he has led since 2009.

The Swiss national is also a member of the UEFA Executive Committee. He was elected for a four-year term in 2011, and re-elected at the 39th Congress of the European confederation in Vienna (AUT) on 24/03/2015.

    Peter Gilliéron is a member of the Euro 2016 steering committee, which is to be hosted in France from 10/06 to 10/07/2016.
  • Switzerland is 11th (out of 54) in the UEFA index on 01/06/2015.
  • The Swiss national team is in third place (with 9 points) in Group E in the qualifying for Euro 2016, after five matchdays.
