Mediapro: a redundancy plan affecting 250 people to be launched at the Madrid and Barcelona (ESP) offices

The Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro will launch a redundancy plan affecting 250 employees at its offices in Madrid and Barcelona (Spain) "in the coming weeks," announced the company to the Spanish news agency EFE on 05/03/2026.

The number of people affected by these layoffs "is lower than initially expected," according to Mediapro, whose statement explains that the plan includes "around 20 senior executives," thereby enabling "sufficient savings to be made to reduce the impact of the layoffs."

"We are reviewing all contracts and departments to ensure they are profitable and make sense. The aim is to restore revenue and create a healthier mix of clients and income streams," said Sergio Oslé to Spanish media Expansión, on 15/01/2026.

Mediapro is no longer LALIGA's production partner as of the 2025-26 season.
