Twitter: the winners of the five major European leagues have combined total of 27 million followers

The winners of the five major leagues in Europe in 2014-15 have a combined total of 27 million followers on the social network Twitter, 30.8% of the total number of followers of the Top 5 leagues (87.7 million followers), according to figures recorded by News Tank Football on 02/06/2015.

Of these five champions, two clubs (FC Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain) are the most followed on Twitter in their country. The other three champion clubs (FC Barcelona, Juventus and Chelsea FC) have the second largest Twitter followings in their respective countries.

The podium of top three Twitter followings in Europe is topped by FC Barcelona with 15.1 million followers, followed by Chelsea FC (5.66 million followers) and Paris Saint-Germain (2.24 million followers).
