Bundesliga: 1,000 visitors for the "FC Bayern Texas Fest" organised in Houston (Texas, USA)

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) have rolled out a series of initiatives for its American fans on Friday 27 and Saturday 28/02/2026 in Houston (Texas, USA).

The Bavarian club organised the first "FC Bayern Munich Texas Fest" throughout the day on Saturday, in collaboration with its partners Paulaner (beer) and SAP (software). Around 1,000 visitors gathered to watch the Klassiker (Borussia Dortmund - FC Bayern Munich, 2-3). An area dedicated to video games (with EA Sports, another of the club's partners), a basketball hoop corner and a football pitch were also on offer, enabling fans to take take part in training sessions led by coaches from the club.

The day before, on the 126^th anniversary of FC Bayern Munich, a delegation took part in the launch of a programme to renovate football pitches around the Texan city and award 1,200 scholarships to young local players. This "FREEKICKS Soccer Program" is an initiative of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Host Committee, which will host Germany - Curacao (Group E) on 14/06/2026.
