LALIGA: a ”Retro Matchday” organised from 10 to 13/04/2026, shirts unveiled at the Madrid fashion week

LALIGA will organise its first ”Jornada Retro” (”Retro Matchday”) from 10 to 13/04/2026, on Matchday 31 of LALIGA EA Sports and Matchday 35 of LALIGA Hypermotion, announced the Spanish league on 06/03/2026.

The first edition of the initiative will notably see 38 teams (out of 42) from the two Spanish top divisions wear new kits "inspired by iconic versions from their past", while referees will wear "a special design created with the Referees Technical Committee (CTA) of the RFEF". FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF, Getafe CF and Rayo Vallecano de Madrid are the four clubs that will not participate in the initiative.

The 38 shirts designed for the occasion will be unveiled on 19/03/2026 during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. "This presentation aims to project the legacy of Spanish football beyond the pitch and place club identity at the centre of the cultural conversation".
