Women's football: after Como and Bristol, Mercury 13 majority shareholder of FC Badalona (Liga F)

Mercury 13 has become the majority shareholder of FC Badalona (Liga F Moeve, ESP), announced the holding company for women's football clubs on 10/03/2026.

Mercury 13 has already owned FC Como Women (Serie A Women Athora) since March 2024 and Bristol City Women (Barclays Women's Super League 2) since September 2025, and thus becomes the first multi-club group dedicated to women's football to invest in Spain, in a club located in the city of Badalona, just north of Barcelona (Catalonia).

As part of the deal, Josep Bellet, a member of the Liga F executive committee, will remain president of the club, while Lauren Holiday, president of Mercury 13, will join the board of directors. In addition, Pedro Iriondo (ex-Olympique de Marseille) has been appointed CEO of the FC Badalona.

Fever (entertainment) has also become the main shirt sponsor and a "strategic partner" of FC Badalona, which will now be equipped by American company Nike, a partner of Mercury 13.
