BitKernel Group, an American company specialising in cloud-based technologies and services, has partenered with LALIGA and pay-TV groups DirecTV Latin America and Sky Brasil to fight audiovisual piracy in Latin America and "the rest of the world," announced the Spanish football league on 10/03/2026.

The agreement "process for the removal, blocking and takedown of unauthorized websites, platforms and brands is implemented within the framework of a judicial process. Thus, based on the aforementioned agreement and as a streaming platform, BitKernel commits to improving its claims management procedure and to promoting appropriate practices in matters of copyright," explained LALIGA.

In August 2025, LALIGA has joined the Mercado Libre Anti-Counterfeiting Alliance (MACA) created by the e-commerce group Mercado Libre in order to "strengthen the protection of audiovisual rights and fight audiovisual fraud, particularly online content piracy" in Latin America. Other members of this alliance include the American group Apple, the German brands adidas and Puma and DirecTV.
