Ligue 1: Joel Lopez leaves the presidency of Evian TG, Esfandiar Bakhtiar the interim leader

Joel Lopez has been dismissed from his position as president of Evian Thonon Gaillard FC (Ligue 2 in 2015-16) and will be temporarily replaced by the Iranian-Swiss Esfandiar Bakhtiar, the club's largest shareholder (who owns 42% of the HSFD holding company, see below), decided the club after a meeting of its board of directors on 02/06/2015. Joel Lopez had been appointed president of the Evian TG on 23/12/2013.

"Following its relegation to Ligue 2, the board of ETG FC adopted a development plan to allow, as soon as possible, a return to Ligue 1," said the club. "The board has decided to reorganise its governance, provisionally entrusted to Mr. Esfandiar Bakhtiar, until a final management structure is in place this summer," said the club on 02/06/2015 .

  • Evian TG FC has been relegated to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2014-15 Ligue 1 season.
