FIFA: a record-breaking revenue budget of $14bn foreseen for 2027-2030; $2.7bn for the Forward programme

The FIFA Council unanimously approved the "Annual Report 2025" including a "record-breaking revenue budget" of $14bn (€12.2bn) foreseen for the 2027-2030 cycle, with $2.7bn allocated to the Forward programme dedicated to the development of football worldwide, announced the body on 19/03/2026.

This projected increase in revenue, estimated at $1bn (+7.7%) compared to the 2023-2026 cycle ($13bn), "will be driven by the expansion of FIFA's flagship tournaments," namely the 2030 World Cup, the Women's World Cup 2027, the second edition of the Club World Cup (2029) and the very first Women's Club World Cup (in 2028).

The three main revenue streams for this four-year cycle are:
• TV rights: $6.064bn (+$800m vs 2023-2026), i.e. 43.3% of the total;
• marketing rights: $4.592bn (+$1.246bn; 32.8% of the total);
• ticketing and hospitality: $2.659bn (-$938m; 19%).

The 2027-2030 budget also forecasts a $1bn increase in expenses, for "a result before taxes and financial result of $100m".
