"I have decided that it would be more appropriate to postpone the meeting that was announced last week, and which would have taken place in Berlin(GER) this weekend," said Michel Platini, the president of UEFA, in a press release on 03/06/2015.

"If Blatter is re-elected president, we will meet in Berlin on the occasion of the final of the Champions League (Juventus - FC Barcelona on 06/06/2015). To discuss our relationship with FIFA. We can consider all options," asserted Michel Platini on 28/05/2015, on the eve of the congress which re-elected Joseph Blatter for the 2015-2019 period. But the announcement of the FIFA president on 02/06/2015 of an extraordinary congress (in the December 2015 - March 2016 period) to designate his successor significantly changed the situation.

"During the weekend in Berlin, we will aim to focus our attention on one of many great occasions at UEFA, the UEFA Champions League final," concluded Michel Platini on 03/06/2015.

"I believe it is wiser to take time to assess the situation" (statement from Michel Platini)
