Cagliari Calcio: "Our stadium project is more advanced than in many other cities" (T. Giulini, president)

"Our project is significantly more advanced than in many other cities (in Italy). We are awaiting final approval from the Municipality of Cagliari (Sardinia), confirming the declaration of public interest and launching the international tender procedure for the award of the concession, which will lead to the start of construction works," Tommaso Giulini, president of Cagliari Calcio (Serie A Enilive), said on 23/03/2026.

The president of the Sardinian club, owned via his company Fluorsid Group since 2014, was speaking about the new stadium project, for which the economic and financial plan for the updated definitive design was filed in December 2025 with the competent authorities.

The project is notably supported by a US-based investor group led by Maurizio Fiori and Prashant Gupta, a minority shareholder since November 2025, which increased its stake from 20% to 49% on 20/02/2026. The transaction is part of the club’s long-term development strategy, including the stadium project and the structural and financial strengthening of Cagliari Calcio.
