EFC: three member clubs awarded (€100,000 each) in partnership with EA Sports for CSR initiatives

European Football Clubs (EFC), in partnership with EA Sports, recognises three member clubs - Samsunspor (Süper Lig), Club Brugge (Jupiler Pro League) and Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukrainian Premier League) - "for innovative initiatives using football to address key social challenges in their communities," the body announced on 25/03/2026.

These clubs, rewarded as part of the 2026 edition of the “Symbol of Change Grants” programme, each receive €100,000. "The Symbol of Change Grants recognise member clubs using football to address challenges such as inclusion, education, gender equality and grassroots development. The projects were presented at the EFC Club Connect event in Lisbon (Portugal) on 23/03/2026".

EFC and EA Sports entered into a multi-year partnership to support member clubs by backing their community-led initiatives and facilitating their integration into the EA Sports FC franchise, on 11/12/2025. This agreement is structured around four main actions in favour of clubs:
