Spain: Movistar Plus+ (Telefonica) acquires TV rights to the Emirates FA Cup until 2028

Telefonica, owner of the pay-TV group Movistar Plus+, has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the Emirates FA Cup in Spain from the end of the 2025-26 season through to 2027-28, the Spanish telecommunications operator announced on 25/03/2026.

The agreement begins with the broadcast of the 2025-26 Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, scheduled for 04 and 05/04/2026. Movistar Plus+ will also air the Adobe Women's FA Cup and the FA Community Shield for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Earlier rounds of the competition were not broadcast in Spain during the 2025-26 season. Telefonica also holds the media rights to LALIGA EA Sports (until 2031), UEFA men’s club competitions (until 2031) and the Copa del Rey Mapfre (until 2027).
