Udinese Calcio: use of UEFA carbon footprint calculator, 12% linked to direct emissions

Udinese Calcio (Serie A Enilive) "reaffirms its status as one of the leaders in environmental sustainability on an international level" by being among the clubs using the UEFA carbon footprint calculator, the club announced on 23/03/2026.

The European confederation launched a "carbon footprint calculator tailored to football organisations in order to reduce CO2 emissions within the ecosystem" on 06/03/2024. "The software measures Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and is based on a methodology validated," according to the club, which is developing its environmental strategy in collaboration with the University of Udine.

"The emissions analysis shows a distribution consistent with that observed in major European sports organisations. The largest share of environmental impact comes from indirect activities related to the supply chain, services and mobility, which account for around 78% of total emissions.
