United Kingdom: launch of the HBO Max platform with TNT Sports channels on 26/03/2026

Warner Bros. Discovery has launched the streaming platform HBO Max in the United Kingdom on 26/03/2026, replacing discovery+.

All sports competitions previously broadcast on discovery+ will be switched to HBO Max, which will also include TNT Sports channels. Subscription prices including the sports channel bundle ranges from £27.99 per month (standard with ads, 12-month minimum term) to £45.98 per month (premium, no minimum term).

TNT Sports notably holds the UK broadcasting rights to the Premier League (2025-2029), UEFA men’s club competitions (excluding Tuesday night Champions League matches for 2024-2027), the Emirates FA Cup (2025-2029), and the Olympic Games (until 2032).

  • The United Kingdom has become the last European market where HBO Max has been launched.
    • The HBO Max service was rolled out across several European territories (including France) in 2024, following a successful initial launch in the United States in 2023.
