Media: ESPN channels launched on the Disney+ platform in 53 territories in Europe and Asia-Pacific

The Walt Disney Company has launched the ESPN channels on its Disney+ streaming platform across 53 territories in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, the group announced on 07/04/2026.

"The initial offering will vary by market but will grow to thousands of live events over the next year including a diverse portfolio of programming such as US sports coverage of the NBA and NHL, both starting with the 2026-27 season," Disney said, adding that the ESPN group " has 50 linear networks reaching fans across 130 countries and territories."

The competitions to be broadcast also include American university tournaments and the LoL KeSPA Cup 2026 esports competition (for the APAC region).

Disney+ also holds the full media rights to the Women’s Champions League in Europe for the 2025-2030 cycle. The platform recently broadcast all 134 matches of the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments in Europe and South Africa as part of March Madness 2026 (from 17/03 to 07/04).

• ESPN is now accessible via Disney+ in almost 100 territories, according to the American group.
