Olympique de Marseille: Stéphane Richard, former CEO of Orange, appointed president effective 02/07/2026

Frenchman Stéphane Richard has been appointed president of Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 McDonald's), Frank McCourt, president of McCourt Global and owner of the club, announced at a press conference held in Marseille (FRA) on 10 /04/2026. He will start his new role on 02/07/2026.

The former CEO of Orange (from 2011 to 2022) also held senior management positions at various French companies: Compagnie Générale d’Immobilier et de Services (now Nexity, from 1995 to 1997), Compagnie Générale des Eaux (1997-2000), Veolia Environnement (2003-2007) and France Télécom (2009-2011). Since November 2022, he has also been a member of the supervisory board of the Port of Marseille.
