Deloitte: the 98 clubs in the Top 5 have a combined total of €11.3bn in turnover in 2013-14 (+12.7%)

The 98 clubs of the five major European championships (Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Liga BBVA, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1) have a combined total of €11.3bn in turnover in 2013-14, reveals the 2015 edition of the "Annual Review of Football Finances" carried out by the UK office of audit and consulting firm Deloitte and published on 03/06/2015. This total represents an increase of 12.7% compared to 2012-13 (€10bn).

The Premier League alone accounts for 34.4% of this total, with €3,898m in revenue in 2013-14 (the first year of the 2013-2016 TV rights cycle), up 29% from 2012-13 (€3,163m). The Bundesliga generated €2,275m in turnover (20.1% of the total), up 13%. They are followed by the Liga BBVA (€1933m, +3%; 17.1% of total), the Serie A TIM (€1,699m, +1%; 15% of total) and Ligue 1 (€1,498m; +15%; 13.2% of total).

  • The full version of the 2015 edition of the "Annual Review of Football Finance" is sold on the Deloitte website , and costs £1,000 (£100 for students and schools), approximately €1,370.
